Vishal Dave (Vocals): Don't go on the face of this beast. Vishal is the best growler Gujarat has ever seen. He unleashes the fury and wrath against odds of life when he's performing live. His style is inspired from bands like Children of Bodom, Lamb of God, Katakalysm etc.
Ashish Pandey aka demon baba(Rhythm Guitar): Not only his looks but even his guitar playing is furious. He's enthusiastic, brutal and tight guitar player. A great rhythm guitarist. His influences range from Lamb of god, Children of bodom etc.
Urvish Patel (Bassist): One of the best bassists from Ahmedabad. Urvish derives inspiration from the more Classic/Psychedelic era of Rock music but since he joined the band he easily managed to become a devoted metalhead. Loves to be calm during normal hours but while he's on stage he won't give a fuck about anything.
Rishi Dave (Keyboardist): King of melodies. That's what we would like to call him. Rishi is self learnt Keyboardist and fills in for the symphonic sections of our music. One of the former members of the band. Inspired by Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu borgir etc.
Falgun Pandit (Drummer): "Gut-busting drumming, double bass tornado" are some of the words to describe Falgun's drum playing. He's the 3rd former member of the band. His influences include Lamb of God, Children Of Bodom, Cradle Of Filth, etc.
Biography:
Decayed Souls was brainchild of 3 guys (Rishi Falgun and Joel). Rishi and Joel used to play in different bands earlier and used to compete each other at college competitions but were never satisfied as they wanted to play heavier music. Somehow they got introduced and shared musical interests. At first it seemed dreamy to cover COB, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir and more of melodic death metal bands. However, they decided to form the band and Falgun who was studying in the same college as Joel was, he was offered to join the first band meeting. The day was 6th of July, 2008. There were past members as well(Siddharth Nair, Kenny Peters and Dion Christie). They started off by playing a genre of music that was never heard in Ahmedabad before. Soon, Decayed Souls became synonymous with Melodic Death Metal in Gujarat .
The style of music generally focuses on the darker side of human mind. Decayed Souls sound ranges from melodic compositions to brutal headbanging and also expands to wide experimentation that makes the band really unique. Band aims to hit international metal scene by starting to play in each state of India. Decayed Souls is a 6-Piece Metal/Death Melodic Metal band with a lot of thrash, death and black Metal influences.
